Nanophotonics meets the real world. My research sits at the intersection of metasurface design, light-matter interaction, and thermal energy systems — translating fundamental physics into photonic technologies that actually work outside the lab. From probing electromagnetic responses at the nanoscale to exploring how light and heat can be unified within a single theoretical framework, I’m driven by the challenge of bridging rigorous theory and real-world application in ways that push the boundaries of what’s physically possible.
But science doesn’t define me entirely. Outside the lab, I stay just as competitive — whether that’s on the field in sports or deep in the strategy of esports. The same drive that fuels my research keeps me pushing in every arena I step into.

Outside the Lab
To life, time matters more than space. To a physicist — well, that’s where things get complicated.
- Team fight Tactics(TFT) Reached Multiple Rank 1 on the North American ladder (Set 3.5, 5, 13 and14) (Now Retired)
- Competed at the TFT Vegas Open (Dec 2023, Las Vegas) — Riot’s first-ever global TFT LAN tournament — finishing 39th out of 512 players worldwide. (IGN: Jiggly)
- Poker Earned $34K in six months of live play. (15BB/h) Retired since COVID.
- Pokémon A big fan — and an unapologetic devotee of Jigglypuff.
- Houston Rockets fan.
- Tennis Recreational player. The court is the best way to clear the mind after a long day research work.
- Philosophy of Death Fascinated by how mortality shapes meaning — from Stoicism to Heidegger’s Being-in-Time. Some of the best thinking happens at the edge of existence.
